    clarity

    Clarity

    by

    Holly Sanders

    In times uncertain, realizations reveal

Defects exposed, once hidden with affect or charm.

Apparent, amoral mindsets hurt and take,

No excuses do they attempt to make.

While clarity reveals to those that give,

The universal language of selfishness and sin,

Kept hidden in times of certain, behind false persona and grins

The Ones who care become aggrieved.

Ashamed of others aggression and greed,

    Realizing together, adapting, aware, accepting

Lost loves and trust, regret’s surely there

When the fog of safe stability lifts,

    Its comforting stage curtain,

    In times most uncertain.

some poems are easy to love, others are not so much loved as they are insightful and therefore affectionately appreciated as friends. This feels like an old friend. In an interesting twist, it is, itself revealing.

In times of uncertaintity we evaluate where we are and from whence we've come. Looking back we see that what seemed like certainty was only lack of insight. A paradoxically, we find that confusion's just reality beyond our current reach....

    alot like tides and beaches..

Keep this up, please. You make me want to write at times when I otherwise don't feel like it.

    cheers, b

Perhaps obtusely, but your poem reminded me of this one...
