HyperinflationSo simple to see the cause/effect relationship in play. So much more at stake in our world today. Wow, instead of of thinking and analysis, I'll just swoon and emote, please pull up my fainting couch...better yet, deny all possibilities and let apathy take control.
Mob mentality is safe, give in to the herd as they rush over the cliff to the valley of perceived promise and protection.
enlighten youself...
Our dollar is only worth the faith we instill in it. After all, it is only paper. Highly Qualified= MESo, I'm on the hunt for a job teaching. I have all the certifications, degrees and 12 years experience. I run across the term "Highly Qualified" in reference to having documentation that YOU are this new status. This causes me to enter all out freak mode. (normal daily modality anyway, so lets say ultra freak mode) I find out it basically means qualified. Degree, certification, no big deal. I wonder how many pages of paper has been sent back and forth and how long it took our legislators to come up with the term and definitions....It falls under a new acronym, NCLB.(no child left behind) Well, I never left my kids behind, made sure everyone was on the bus after a field trip, accounted for after lunch and that they actually came back from the bathroom. I guess this was a problem, hence massive legislation. Wrong again it is more legislation of education by bureaucrats that can't even conceptualize what the actual classroom today is like. We have modifications for some kids(must document, get sued over this quite a bit), overcrowded rooms, teachers stressing out over mandated tests that dictate everything they teach, and sadly, our kids in an ever changing, "whats new today in education", philosophical environment. Well, I know that 1. The kids have more self-esteem than I do, so I will not constantly reward them for what are basic expectations. I think this fosters entitlement ideals in them. We were taught to do this when I went to college, really. 2. Teaching a test is a disservice to the student. Expressing this has cost me jobs. 3. Not all classes are capable of group work. That is probably self explanatory. 4. If a kid steals a book out of your library, that is good thing, do not be angry just explain that they are free to him/her forever. No sweat. 5. Administrators that are weak will bring your building down more effectively than an earthquake. 6. Kids know if you love and care about them, instinctively, and if you don't , will torture and make a teachers' year a living hell..7. Over legislation of education is a waste of time and money. It takes the creativity and freedoms a teacher has instructionally away, making school, BORING. For student and teacher. As for NCLB, maybe if some kids were left behind and not socially promoted, we would not have high school graduates on a 3rd grade reading level. Did say I wanted to get back into education??? Hummmmm.....FeminismI read a book many years ago about the backlash of feminism. Myself, being of the generation where voting , property rights and control of our own bodies were a given for women, I see things changing. I see less political power and social respect toward females all the time. Women do think much differently than men, so why are we allowing men to legislate our freedoms? My family was (and is) matriarchal. My Mother is one tough woman, if we had a problem in a marriage, you got no consolation. She flat out told you to "straighten your man out, or I Will". Women ran the business, made the money and had the power. Men, if competent, were allowed into our circle, but never fully entrusted. I questioned this until recently, when a man I fully trusted decided it was time for me to get "the ass-whipping I deserved". I still have a surgery to go to repair what he did. No, I don't need therapy, am not classifying all men, or gay.
Strong women strike fear in a weak man. I can meet a group of men, talk openly for a while, and half will say I scare them, the other half will fall in love with me, find me fascinating, whatever. Never do I doubt their ability to hurt, when they feel a women has compromised them , or they feel threatened. Just as men should not feel women are incapable of inflicting damage on them. The saying about a scorned women didn't come out of Aesop's Fables. People take what we allow, we give what we expect them to want. The backlash is not because of men objectifying and using women, it is women allowing them to do this. If some girl wants to make money selling herself, that is none of my concern, I just hope she values herself enough to command a high price and that she remains in control. The men where I live are posting pictures of Hillary as a monster, crybaby, physically unattractive. Why? Fear. They are scared of powerful women. There are plenty of men that have encountered Hillary and still have the heel marks on their back, because she has run completely over them.. She is smart, intimidating and non-compromising. Any man that is stupid enough to doubt a woman's ability to lead a country need to look at Margret Thatcher. She put up with no shit whatsoever, remained dignified and diligent. It is time for women to regroup, rethink , unite and take control. If we don't, it will be taken from us.
Shame on YOU!Well, the Governor of N.Y. got caught with his pants down, or having been down, inappropriately. Reminds me of good ole Jimmy Swaggart without the Penthouse layout. When he got caught, with his hand in the wrong cookie jar (I am making myself ill), my cousin was a student at his "Bible College". She was studying interpersonal communications, which my Mom thought sounded" like sex". Boy, I have to say it was a fine day for me. Said cousin was a condescending, judgemental bitch with a superiority complex. She always was generous in condemning me to hell for my behavior and such. I think it is a shame someone can't own their mistakes, Jimmy cried and cried. I laughed and laughed, can people not accept we all are somehow flawed? You would think society could, in this day and age, realize no one is perfect. If they appear to be that is truly scary. I have found anyone claiming to be a good Christian is usually a hypocrite and someone who brags about their wealth is broke. That should show you what an incredible student of the human mind I am. |
